Looks Like the QotD Movie is "Damned" for Lack of a Better Word

Why haven't I been covering the making of The Queen of the Damned movie? Well, I don't agree with it. At all. In case you haven't heard (and if that's true, where have you been?) Warner Bros. is going to produce QotD, rather than The Vampire Lestat, and it's not something to get excited about.

The bad news:

When this news had to be broken to my friend Danny's pal Robert, an avid VampChron fan, he almost fell over from hearing it--and Danny and I could barely choke the words out. Okay, so maybe it's not that dramatic, but it's pretty horrible news. Just make sure you're seated...

SATAN'S NIGHT OUT, the 1980s rock band will be played by none other than KORN, 1990s crap music band. Johnathan Davis, leader singer, will play Lestat's singing voice and write the music. Even more frightening, Akasha, the Eygptian Queen of the Damned herself, will be played by Aaliyah, the singer chick. To fans of these two, my apologies. I can't stand them... but my personal tastes aside, they're competely WRONG for this film...

Aside from that, the film plans to include a side plot about Lestat and Jesse, the red-haired girl, in romantic situations, as well as several other obvious and stupid plot changes.

The Good News:

Until the movie comes out and I rant and rave about seeing KORN tee shirts that say "The Vampire Lestat," nothing more will be said about the film on this site. If you must check the latest news and info, you can go to UpcomingMovies.com's QotD Info. Also, Danielle's site The Lestathenaeum has a movie poll and constant news updates concerning the film.

Both Danielle and I agree that you should boycott this film. Personally, I'd rather sit through 12 hours of dubbed SailormoonS than this movie.. and if you know me, that's saying a lot. My advice is read the books, love Lestat, and pretend this crappy production doesn't exist. Denial is a good place to be.

That's all I have to say about that.
